I DON'T FOLLOW THE NORM

After spending 5 weeks in Houston at MD Anderson for a little procedure, and coming home to stare at four walls for 2 weeks while a infection gets taken care of, I've had a lot of time to think. My daughter worries about me during these times of reflection because she says I always do something stupid. I'll deal with her later.

After I finished Tanglewood Road, everybody wanted me to do a sequel. I couldn't because the book was finished. I had no more to say about Jackie Sue and Evelyn. Then I wrote The Possessor, which is really a book for young adults. I followed with Tell Her Goodbye. This is a book for young adults. My latest book is about a psychic, Olivia Kennedy Kimsey, and it is the first of a series of mystery books. In fact, I'm a third of the way through the second book in the series and I like it better than Looking For An Honest Man.

My Problem?

If I want to be successful, I have to continue my series--and stick with it. My problem is that I have so many other stories I want to write that won't fit into my series. While working on the second Olivia Kennedy Kimsey book, another book is boiling in the back of my brain that is more of a fantasy or sci-fi book. After thinking about this for the past several weeks, I guess you'll have to get used to me not sticking with one genre or characters.
